Electronics in the Health Field
Electronic devices have long been used in the health field. They have been utilised to assist in the diagnosis and determination of medical problems. Equipment like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices, computed tomography (CT) scanners and x-rays have been used for diabetes, cholesterol and blood component tests.
MRI machines are used to diagnose disorders of body structures that are not visible using x-rays. While a CT scanner, sometimes called CAT, uses x-rays and a computer to produce a series of cross-sectional images. This sort of scanning is used to examine body organs for certain illnesses. X-ray machines are also used to view the insides of objects. An x-ray generator produces electromagnetic radiation and sends it to an object. The object then absorbs the radiation, which is captured by a film sensitive to x-ray.
There are other electronic devices developed for health. Technology has definitely made our lives a lot better.
